Our team of dedicated funeral directors, embalmers, memorial headstone, reception, administration, and catering staff, all take pride in offering you the very best in funeral service.

There are no longer any formal restrictions on the number of attendees at a funeral service, and no mandatory requirements regarding COVID-19 vaccination, wearing of masks, or physical distancing.

We do, however continue to ensure that our Chapel, Reception area, Catering Lounge, and Viewing facilities are well ventilated.

If you are unable to attend a service, please call us (03 2184095), to discuss what options are available. Our facilities are well equipped with technology that enables people to view the service on Livestream, and participate on Zoom.

FAMILY VISITS TO THE FUNERAL HOME.

We respectfully request that all visits to our funeral home continue to be arranged with a scheduled appointment time. Please call us on Ph. 03-2184095 to arrange a scheduled appointment time.

  • FUNERAL ARRANGEMENT INTERVIEWS: We recommend that scheduled face-to-face arrangement interviews at the          funeral home be limited to the closest family members. This will help us maintain safest practice for everyone who may be visiting the premise at the same time.
  • VIEWING OF THE DECEASED:  Our Family Visitation Room is normally limited to a maximum of six (6) people at any one time. For larger groups, we may offer the Chapel or Lounge areas. Whenever possible, visitation times are usually scheduled to cater for a maximum of two family viewings on the premises at any one time.
  • GENERAL MATTERS: Please call our office on 03 2184095 to make a scheduled appointment to discuss all matters such as Headstone enquiries; payment of accounts; prearrangement and prepayment of funeral expenses.

FUNERAL SERVICE CHOICES AND CHAPEL SETUP.

Your funeral director will help you understand the choices that are available, when you plan the celebration of life and final farewell for your loved one. You will notice that our Chapel layout can be changed to a Table and Chairs format, in which family groups are encouraged to sit together in a slightly less formal setting.

At the conclusion of the service, you will be invited to share further memories with friends and loved ones over a cuppa and light refreshments in our Lounge.

Whenever the funeral service is to be held at another venue, eg. Church, Public Hall, Marae, your funeral director will guide and inform you about requirements of your chosen venue.

CLEANING AND HYGIENE PROTOCOLS

Please note that at 4.30pm each working day, our staff will be implementing our cleaning and hygiene protocols which will be applied to all areas used by the public. This will include the Reception Foyer, Arrangement Rooms, Viewing Room, Casket Selection Room and Headstone Showroom. Your wellbeing and safety whilst on our premises is our utmost concern. Our Chapel and Lounge will be cleaned following the completion of all services.

WINTON AND DISTRICTS FUNERAL SERVICES

Our Funeral Home premise at 306 George Street, Winton is currently undergoing a significant upgrade of all interior rooms, but will continue to be attended over the period of the upgrade. Our Winton team will be very pleased to show the public through their upgraded facility on completion of these alterations.

We have recently purchased an additional property at 11 - 19 Brandon Street, Winton, which will be developed to provide additional funeral services to the community.

Please contact us if you have any queries about what is appropriate for your loved one's arrangements. We are always happy, and available to discuss your wishes.
