RANCE: Ian George Peacefully at Hospice Southland on Wednesday 1st February 2023, aged 90 years. Deeply loved soulmate of Daphne for over 60 years. Loved and respected father and father-in-law of David and Nicky, Rowena and Irwin Black, Alister and Janean, Philip and Deidre. Loved Grandad, Pop, or Gumpy of Alex, and the late Andrew; Jessica, Laura, Anna, Tony; Jack, Georgia, Scott; Tom, and Harriet. A service to celebrate Ian’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons Chapel, Corner Esk & Doon Streets, Invercargill on Wednesday 8th February at 1.30pm followed by Ian’s interment at the Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be left at the service for St John Ambulance.
