WITHINGTON, Alastair David (Goob)

It is with great sadness that we announce that our very strong brave man has lost his short courageous battle surrounded by his loving family, at Hospice Southland, on Monday 6th February 2023.

Most dearly loved husband, soul mate and best friend of Lisa.

Much loved Dad, Dad-in-law and best friend of Conner and Sam, Courtney and Bailey, loved big guy of Rylan.

Loved son and son-in-law of Dot* and Harold*, Judy* and Peter* Eady, loved brother and brother-in-law of Anne and John Boustead, Heather and Neil* Soper, Jeanette* and Neil Gibb, Geoff and Diane, Ken and Kerren, Nicola and Wayne McConechy, loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews.

Special big guy to Dawn and Alister, James and Toni and Debs Harvey and the wee girls.

A service to celebrate Alastair’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill at 1pm on Thursday, 9th February, and then laid to rest at the Greenpoint Cemetery.

Our special thanks to everyone at Hospice Southland for the amazing care given to Alastair and our family.
