Sending so much aroha to Kiwia’s beautiful whanau. Kiwia was a special lady who left an imprint on so many of us who were lucky enough to be educated by her, helping us learn the beautiful language of Te Reo Māori and injecting culture into our community. Many laughs shared with my dear friend Rouyden over the years. Lance has fond memories of learning taekwondo with Mrs Lake. We are thinking of you all at this hard time, she will be dearly missed xx

The passing of the beautiful Wahine Toa has left a hole in the Tuatapere Community, particularly those who were blessed to have been taught and guided by her. She was warm, welcoming and always made us feel natured in her presence. I have many fond memories of Kiwia that I will cherish. All my love you to Rouyden and family.
