Messages

Sympathies go to Madge's family and thoughts are with them following Madge's passing.
What an achievement with Madge making it to 105 and having the support of family and friends involved through to this milestone.
Although this is a sad accassion, I know there is plenty to celebrate which is appropriate.
Happy celebrations.

My sincere sympathy to Madge's family. What a wonderful age for Madge to reach. I have so many lovely memories of McKay's shop in Wyndham and Madge serving us children bags of boiled lollies for 6 pence and selling my mother berets or sandels from the wee room at the back of the shop with the clothes. Madge McKay has been a legend in Wyndham for years. Basil Irvine drove the delivery bus up to the mailbox at Edgewood Farm at Oware with the bread from McKays Store. Sometimes we children were so hungry after school it was half eaten by the time we had walked the two miles to the homestead. What a wonderful lady you are Madge McKay in my memories and so loved and respected. Never forgotten.

Dear Aunty Madge, was a very special person in our lives, we loved catching up with her when visiting home on holidays over a cup of tea and a biscuit and usually a lolly or 2! We were also very lucky that she came to visit us here in Australia when she ventured oversea's also. We have shared many birthday and Christmas cards with letters over the years (we miss getting them!) Aunty Madge always had so many interesting stories to pass on of her and her families life. I am sure my husband David has many more stories to tell having grown up close with Aunty Madge when he was younger. We would like to pass on our heartfelt sympathies to Madge's family, our thoughts are with you all today and we are very sorry we could not be there to celebrate her wonderful life. Madge will be sadly missed.
