Dear family, while I didn't know Chris other than through the Port Chalmers Swim Club, she was always such a friendly, smiling face at the pool. She was always so positive and encouraging to the kids and I can't think of a time I came with my daughter to the pool when she wasn't there! Her dedication and support to the club was truly amazing.
She will be sorely missed by all and our thoughts are with all the family as I'm sure she was an amazing mum and grandma.

Dearest Tayla - I can not imagine how you are feeling at this time - your mum will leave a monumental, Chris-shaped void. She was kind, generous, positive and did so much for so many. I always thought it was cool that our families both lived in that wee A-frame in Port Chalmers. As a single parent with teenage girls, your mum was a sympathetic ear and I appreciated her counsel. I am at home watching the livestream today, but know that we are thinking of you and your family in Invercargill. With much aroha, Meg, Asheika & Katiya.
