Dearest friend,
Over the last 12 years it has been a privilege to support you in your battle with this heinous illness. You have been an inspiration to medical staff, friends and family alike.
You were always so brave on the outside, I witnessed first hand how you would challenge any negative diagnoses, and would ask for a positive Plan B, all the while on the inside, being terrified. Your goal was to get more time to watch Matthew and Sarah mature into honest and caring adults. Their care for you in these last weeks shows your goal was achieved.

This year turned into your most physically, mentally and emotionally taxing one, being away from your home, Bentley, friends and Sarah, (who coordinated your team of friends and extended family members as Ranui carers with military precision), it was a privilege to be one of this team, caring for you at Ranui, or in Ward 6B.

We ran out of time to do together any of the things we planned for our retirements. I will carry your memory in my heart until the end of my days dear friend. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Matthew and Sarah - we are so very sorry for the loss of your incredible Mum. The way you have looked after her and helped her was just beautiful and very special to observe. So sorry to hear that Lyndal has passed away. I have fond memories of our teenage years in Winton, she was always so bright and bubbly every time we crossed paths and always had a beautiful smile. Both of our parents were good friends and Alwyn would always keep us up to date on how her “girls” were doing in their lives. She has had a hard road to hoe the past years, but had a huge positive outlook, a very strong mother to be so proud of. Condolences to you all.

I am deeply sorry to know of Lyndall's death and send my love and very deepest sympathy to all of her family. I was in one of her patchwork classes for quite a long time and appreciate so much her teaching, skills and help all given so generously. What an amazing lady who had many of life's challenges thrown at her and she faced it all with grit and determination with the love she had for her children always at the forefront of everything she did and the decisions she made. She will now be at peace with no more suffering and I will always remember her with much love and gratefulness for the wonderful person she was.

I am going to miss seeing your cheerful smile each morning and the way you took care of everything & everyone. I will always remember how you took the time to chat (even though you had a million other jobs on the go) you were never too busy for us. You were one of the best Lyndall xx

Lyndall
I have photos in my photo albums back to when we lived next door as neighbours. The Warren girls played with Stocker girls over many years.
Our families were close and we shared much of our young lives together.
So much fun, laughter and good old fashioned trouble to remember.
Fondest memories of Charlie, Alwyn, Dad and Mum going to balls, golf do’s and Christmas or New Year get togethers.
Reading these messages tells me what a wonderful kind courageous woman you became and the impact you had on others lives.
A good life lead but taken way too soon.
Remembered always.
