Deepest sympathy Sharon and family, we're sorry we can't be there to say goodbye to David as we're out of town, but our thoughts are with you. He will be missed not only at the Bowls Hall, but for his dry sense of humour. He could always be relied on for a good laugh. Taken much too soon.

To Sharon and family, and Bruce, Pam and family. We were so saddened and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of David. He will leave a very big hole in so many lives. Although it wasn't often 😏, we will miss bumping into him and Sharon at the workies when he always had some witty greeting, usually something like you here again or what a surprise meeting you at a bar. With our deepest, most sincere condolences. Love Debbie and Alistair Lake

Aw Sharon, I only found out yesterday! It was literally a few days ago I was watching something on TV and a girl had spilt red wine on the carpet. I then recounted spilling red wine at our work do on the carpet at yours and how mortified I was because I didn’t want David to be mad with me 😂, never mind I’d already chewed his ear off about absolutely nothing and we’d all been singing at the top of our lungs for quite some time 🤦🏽‍♀️🙊. He was the loveliest man Sharon and I’m heartbroken you’ve lost your best friend ❤️ sending so much love to you and all David’s family.
Ka aroha hoki ❤️
