Dear Rowena and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. John was such a larger than life character and we'll always remember him that way, with his jolly manner and cheeky laugh. Whenever we visited he was always cheerful and welcoming. He can rest in peace now. Much love to you all. Ann Nota and family.

Dear Rowena and Family. So sorry I couldn't come down today with Mat. But I am thinking of you all on this very sad occasion and will remember John as the happy, friendly, warm and welcoming man that he was. May he now rest in peace. Lots of love Anna

We were privileged to be able to watch the whole service for John. We learned things we didn't know about the family. Sadly we had two relations pass and we had committed ourselves to be in CH CH for Stephen Browns funeral. We were in CH CH when we watched the video of the Invercargill service. Rowena we are feeling for you and your family at this time of such sadness. We will remember John as a happy interested jovial person who was always pleasant to meet and talk to. Its difficult to be watching this video as we saw and spoke to John for a considerable time on a sunny day in April this year at Arrowtown. He was smiling and happy and told us he was feeling well.
Our thoughts have been and are with you at this time; from Rex and Nadine.
