I remember June as always warm and friendly and a great community person. She will be missed.

Aunty June was such a wonderful person in my life. I have so many great memories of her: her wonderful stories, all her knowledge about so many things, her love of gardening, of books, her cheerfulness and optimism. The way that she always took such great interest in people (which made us feel special). Those are just a few things that come to mind, but I have many happy Aunty June memories.
I am thankful that she was such a positive part of my life and a wonderful aunty..
Carolyn Veldmeijer (nee Pope), Katikati
June was a constant presence in my life, being a cousin AND a sister-in-law! She always said that she was the reason Alan and I met [at her wedding], Sep 2nd, 62 years before the day she died.. She was always interested in everything going on around her and able to keep us informed about news . of relatives, friends and neighbours, once we move north. June was always cheerful and sociable, loved having visitors and, in healthier times, belonged to many organisations.
We will miss her presence in our lives, her cheerfulness and optimism and the way she accepted everyone.
Diane and Alan Pope, Katikati
Thinking of you all Aunty Heather, Uncle Ken, Holley and Bailey. June was always so cheerful and friendly when I spoke to her over the years. Lots of love.
