Stirling, Colin Bruce (Bruce): It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bruce on Friday, September 15, 2023. Aged 91 years. Surrounded by family and friends and now free to run with his horses. Dearly loved husband of Dorothy for 54 years. Much loved dad and father-in-law of Dee and Shane, and Deane and the late Andrea. Dearly loved Poppy and friend of Laura and Jeremy, Tim, and Paige. The family wish to thank the staff at Bupa Ascot Care Home for the care and compassion given to Brucey over the last 3 years. And to Dawn, Margaret and Leah for medical care provided. A private cremation will be held and a celebration of Bruce’s life will be held with a date to be advised. You will be missed Poppy. Many happy memories down at the race track with the horses, out on the farm and at family gatherings. Now you can enjoy chopping as many trees down as you like

The sheep are shorn and well cared for. The firewood is cut and split to keep us all warm. Life's challengers have been fought and won. Your time with us has been treasured and well spent. Now is your time to sit back, enjoy a beer and rest in peace.
Shane, Invercargill
Bruce, i will treasure the memories of the 54 years we shared together. We worked hard together looking after our farm and shops. We shared good times away on our horse racing adventures. You worked hard over the years and now is your time to rest, put your feet up, watch the Chase and have a beer. Rest easy darling until we meet again i love you.
