MCCLEAN Rosslyn Ethel (Ros)

Ros passed away after a courageous battle, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday 24th October 2023, aged 75 years.

Dearly loved wife and best friend of Russell.

Cherished mother and mother in law of Jonny and Bronnie McClean (Milton); Kate and Ryan Butler (Christchurch); Hamish and Chantal McClean (Te Anau).

Much loved Grandma Rossie of Jake, Anna, Toby, Henry, George, Zara and Jack.

A special thank you to Amy Doig, Dr Paula King, District Nurses and Hospice Southland.

A Celebration of Ros’s life will be held on Tuesday 31st October 2023 at 1.30pm, Te Anau Club, Pop Andrew Drive.  A private cremation will follow.

In recognition of Ros’s love of flowers and the colour pink, please embrace this in some way at her service.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be greatly appreciated and can be left at the service.

Fond memories of Ros as one of my primary school teachers at Balfour, meals with our family, and catching up through life's journey. A teacher that made a positive impact and I respected. Thank you.

Ros’s contribution to her family and community which was so sincerely evident in the testaments of those who spoke at her memorial and in the messages on this live stream, show her to have been a star. Dearest companion of my youth I know that she was raised with high standards and she maintained them to the end. She will leave an enormous gap in the lives of everyone who knew her including my own. For her close family her loss will be very difficult. My love to them as they cope with her passing in the coming days.
How impressed I was with the way in which her niece Margie, whom I last saw as a toddler with a huge personality, led her memorial service and it was wonderful to see also her sisters close by in support.
My love and best wishes to all who have been impacted by the loss of Ros. Rest peacefully now my dearest friend.
