To the Winders family, we are saddened to hear that Marie has passed away.
Our first association with Marie was through Fran & Ian when they introduced us to the wonderful world of Tap Dancing with Sycamore Studio of Tap! Marie was always so supportive and encouraging, not only to her own grandchildren but to our daughters as well. We would catch up at tap practices/comps and always have a laugh. Along with those tap-dancing days, there was the Sacred Heart School activities/fairs that we would see Marie at. She was always very interested in how our family was doing.
In the latter years when I would run into Marie, it was always good to have a catch up on what the family were up to. She was so very proud of her family.
We know Marie will leave a huge gap and will be sorely missed.
Rest in peace Marie, it was a pleasure and an honour to have met you.

What a beautiful person Marie was with her smiling face and genuine interest in others. I fondly remember babysitting the Winders kids back in the 1970’s. My sincere condolences to all the family.

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of such a beautiful lady. Marie was truly a lovely soul and absolutely loved her family. Good times had with her right from the Queenstown crib days to now. Rest in peace Marie.

For some reason my Dad, Eddie Lowe and his brothers called Marie Sam. Bert was Elephants Trunk. We never found out why. Marie and Dave were always talked about very fondly amongst the Lowes. I remember her as a beautiful lovely lady. She must have been incredibly patient to have raised Southland’s most talented whānau. Love to all of you.
Kim Lowe, Christchurch
