DALEY, Steve

Steve, who was our Legendary Mountain man died suddenly on Sunday 31st March 2024. Soulmate and best friend of Jo and was the loved and respected Dad of Chris (Scrub) and devoted grandad to Jo and Chris’s children.

We were so sorry to hear the sad news of Steve passing, we have known Steve & Jo since 2008 and in the later years as our Farm Manager, its been a privilege to work alongside such a great team, Steve will be sadly missed by all and our thoughts go out to Jo, Chris & family

Chris, very sorry to hear of your dadS LOSS, COMPLETE SURPRISE TO ALL, i learnt last friday 5/4, ran into craig rosenberg an he informed me, so got in contact with kelly munro, who is now teaching at whakatane intermediate, hubby josh now princpal at allendale school whakatane, so kelly informed grant & maxine, grant then rang me, had a good yarn, now got a diary farm in awakeri, going well, got a milker helping, grant said he was 67 years old an max 63 years old, having bit of health trouble, thyroid an graves disease in her eyes, getting treatment. will phone shaggy, steve grant, today an let him know, you guys knew him well, now lives in perth ok all best des rowley

Jo, Chris and families, sincere condolences and deepest sympathy with Steves recent passing. As a past valued member of our community the 'PRIDE' has you all in their prayers and thoughts convinced you'll be surrounded by family and friends comforting and consoling you all. Though Steves presence is no longer with you, he'll surely remain in your hearts and memories where you'll take the time to celebrate a life seemingly bloody well lived. Go well folks.

A very clever and hardworking man nothing got in the way of keeping that fence line straight. Not even a Lorne Peak iceberg boulder. You leave a big hole in a lot of people’s hearts, bet your still smiling up there
