Thinking of you all today, sorry we can't be with you. As you well know Edna was a very special person and loved her family very much. Lovely to know she is now @ peace & hasn't been left to suffer. Love to you all!!!

Edna was very much against smoking. There was a particular scene where cigarettes were to be smoked as part of the play. Edna refused even herbal cigarettes so that scene had to be rewritten where I refused to offer her a cigarette and Edna took umbrage to that fact but it preserved her right not to smoke.

Edna was quite a dab hand in the kitchen. There was one play where special bread had to be made. It was a dark brown loaf that had been fashioned into two round layers. A larger round of bread at the bottom and a small round at the top.

It was to be part of bread and cheese offered as per the script.

The bread was so popular that several cast members including myself bought some.

Edna was a kind woman with a heart of gold and was very inclusive of all around her - young and old.

She was paired up with my daughter who was only 10 or 11 at the time where Edna was the front of the cow and my daughter made up its rear end. She was very supportive and tried to make the rear end sing!!
