Died peacefully at Southland Hospital on Monday 24th June 2024; aged 83 years. Dearly loved father of Sandra Macnamara (Te Anau), Tara Blackmun (Invercargill) , and Jaymie Blackmun (Sweden) and much loved grandfather of Reagan, Harry, Blake; Luke, Caleb, Joshua; Zavia, Zack and great grandfather of Alexia, and Bjorn. Loved brother and brother- in- law of Jeanette and Alan Jordan, Clive and Ann, Peter and Tracey, Bernard and Vanna. A grave side service to celebrate Alan’s life will be held at the East Winton Cemetery on Thursday 27th June 2024 at 11am, everyone welcome. Alan will be resting at the Winton Funeral Home on Wednesday, for anyone who wishes to pay their respects prior to 4pm. A very special thank you to all the people who cared for Alan over the final years of his illness, Rata Park Care Home and to the staff at the medical ward at Southland Hospital.
