With such sadness we read of the passing of dear Kath. We both extend our deepest sympathy to you all as you navigate this awful time. Kath was such a beautiful soul, inside and out. She always spoke so lovingly and proudly of her family. She adored you all, but she was also very interested in us and what was going on in our lives. She had the most beautiful, gentle smile. She will be missed by many. The earth has indeed lost a very special, memorable, kind woman. RIP. Lawrie & Denise (ex Talbot Street).

It is with sadness I read of Kate leaving us. I go back a very long way to my friendship with Kate, 65 yeqrs ago she was truly a very good friend to me in Gore. Introducing me to the sport of Marching, what fun we had in those days with all the girls. The Hickey household in Fairfield Street was welcoming to all and sundry, such a treat to someone a little alone. Life was a little simpler then and we all enjoyed great company with the marching girls and their other halves, we all remember fondly the esteem Kate held for her beloved Des. I really feel for you at this time Des please accept my sincere condolences to you and your extended family.
Rest in Peace Kathleen,
With love Colleen Lavender

We have a lot of fond memories of Talbot St, when we used to have our neighbourly catch-ups over a drink.
