From Ireland:
We are saddened beyond measure to hear of the passing of Colleen. Dympna talked forever about meeting up with her. A day we had hoped would come but sadly has now been taken from us.
Meeting family from afar for the first time can be a daunting experience. Not in the case of New Zealand cousins. Our first meeting in Dublin is etched in the memory bank. Both Bernie and myself were struck by the immediate connection between Margaret and Dympna at that time. That warmth has been extended with all family visits ever since with meeting Bruce and Rosemary, Danny and Ann and extended family. Dympna is so proud of her New Zealand cousins and in particular her correspondence with Colleen over the years. They never met but didn't have to. Theirs was a special relationship. Colleen was a special person and we will miss her.
Our thoughts are with Forrester and family at this sad and difficult time.
We brace ourselves against the cold sadness of Colleens passing with the warm memories of times past.
In sympathy,
Jim, Dympna, Rory, Una and Sean
James Connolly Herin and Dympna Kelly, Dublin
To Forrester, Christopher, Matthew, Phillip, Margot and Allison and your families we send you all our deepest condolences. Colleen was a very very special person and our family has so many fond memories of catching up with the Norman's for pot luck dinners, out on the ponies or around the farm. She was always so proud of you all. Our thought and prayers are with you at this very sad time.

Dear Colleen,

I'm so saddened from the news of your passing, feeling like you were taken too soon. You/we had so much more to share! Yesterday, I dove into our past, reliving memories through old photos, deep in the archives and it was pure joy. As you know, I've traveled far and wide, but finding these hidden gems brought me immense happiness. We had a special time – wholesome, carefree fun, filled with laughter and happiness every day. Many search for this their whole lives, but we found it in our youth.

Though life and distance separated us, I'm grateful we reconnected in recent 'quieter' years. Your support has meant everything to me. Rest well, my friend. I'll miss our chats dearly. Fly high and I know you will be watching over me. I'm forever grateful for our connection.

With all my love.... ❤️🙏❤️
