Thank you Murray family for sharing your Fergus with me and my little family too. I'm going to miss him terribly. What a legacy he leaves behind - he was an inspiration!!!

I remember Fergus fondly during my time marching in Dunedin. He always had a smile, a kind word, and made the marching community feel like family. The competitions always flowed smoothly and he had a great announcers voice.

A special memory was when Santa (Fergus) walked past me in the mall and said “have you been good this year, Karin?” I was shocked at how Santa knew my name to which my friend replied “It’s Santa - he knows everybody’s name”

With loving thoughts,

Karin & Maria Sleeman

So many great memories of days gone by in Cromwell at Christmas time. No more putting the kettle for a cuppa. So good that you moved down here and we ended up in the same Lions Club. A good man who will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with Monique and Leighton and families at this devastating time.

Dear Uncle Ferg. The marching man, the Lion, the proud Otago and Highlanders supporter, owner of many hats, and never one to miss sending a birthday wish. From Mosgiel and Cromwell days, touring the Mill to sharing a yarn. Po’s little ‘big’ brother, ready for an adventure or to try something new. You were always up for an afternoon snooze, may you finally Rest In Peace.

Much love to Monique, Leighton and your families.
