I had the good fortune to play golf with Marion and Ted for several years and always enjoyed their company. They were a perfect match in life and it was always a pleasure to hear them speak so lovingly of their family. What a brilliant innings Ted, such a gentleman. My sympathy to your family, what special memories to treasure of this special couple.

Well what a wonderful innings Ted and a privilege to know you both through business and at golf. I remember Ted so well in his time and guidance at Millar Lange as it was known then when I first joined the bakery in 1981 and as we were setting up what has become a very successful business for products to Japan (and other parts of the world). Ted was so meticulous and exacting with all he did at the bakery and in terms of costings, guided me so well for my negotiations with Japan. Ted was well known for his standing at his favourite desk and using his pencil wisely. He was the consummate gentleman who had all at heart and I recall fondly on my first visit to Japan, which was to be over about two weeks, Ted made contact with Lucille, my wife, to ensure all would be fine at Otatara on our small farm as she was left to look after the home and all the animals. He was always caring about others. Ted and his rhythmic swing could be seen not only at the Invercargill Golf Club, but often during a break at the factory in Baker Street, out on the grass practicing that famous swing. Ted you were a gentleman and a scholar to the highest level. You can now join your wonderful Marion and establish that partnership again. RIP.

Uncle Ted,
The oldest sibling of my grandma Nellie you nearly outlived us all! I am very grateful for the family genealogy record that you put together and I will treasure it always. I’ve always seen you as a gentleman with a cheerful disposition, kindhearted and gentle in nature. Your faith inspired me, as did your constant heart of service, always looking to others needs and visiting those who needed company. Yours is a life worth celebrating! Until we meet again in Heaven - Arohanui/big love.
Sending our love to all the Maloney family at this time, may you feel comforted. Also declaring a special blessings upon Anne, for all her loving and tender care over these years.
