Dear Mary, Jayne, Elaine, Stuart and families, we are deeply saddened to hear that Bill has passed away.
With us no longer living in Invercargill I am sorry that I am unable to visit in person and pass on my condolences.
It's over 51 years since I got to know you all when we emigrated to Invercargill from England, just as you had also done.
I have many special memories of the friendships that I formed with Jayne and then Elaine when we met up again at ante natal classes 30 years ago.
I hope that the treasured and precious family memories you all have of Bill are of some comfort to you at this sad time

Much Love
Ann and Gerard Smith and family, Christchurch
Mary my thoughts and prayers are with you as I read of Bill's death. I always enjoyed his friendship, support and advice in my early years of teaching, and his humorous approach to life.

To Mary, Jayne, Elaine, Stuart and families, we are saddened to hear about Bill’s passing.

We got to know you as neighbours about 38 years ago, which evolved into being great friends ever since.

We have special memories of great discussions over meals, Christmas breakfasts, and many drinks over those years, solving problems of the world and our families, while always having a laugh. We missed the get togethers when we moved from Invercargill but are glad we had the opportunity to catch up a few months ago whilst we were in Invercargill.

Sending our deepest sympathies and thinking of you all at this sad time.

There are some teachers you will never forget in life, 'Mr Storey' was one of them.
He was fantastic (technical drawing) teacher at Cargill High School in the 80s/90s.
I'm 50 now and still remember him like it was yesterday. He taught me skills I still remember and use to this day. Always enjoyed his classes and his teaching style. A very well liked and respected teacher by his students, as annoying and frustrating as we could be, he was extremely patient and kind. Thank you for being a positive person and influence in my life. My condolences to his family.
