Carnie, Barbara: Peacefully with family by her side, at Southland Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2024. Aged 87 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Wilson. Much loved Mum and mother-in-law to Joanne and Noel Wilson, Peter* and Elaine, Brian and Maxine. Dearly loved Nan of Emma, Rachael, and Hannah; Renee, Amber and Nicole. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Nelson* and Ivy* Elliott, Pauline* and Allan* Thoms, Florrie and Ray Jenner, and the late Norman Chung and sister-in-law to Allan* and Margaret* Carnie, Ivan* and Joyce* Carnie, Russell*, Elaine* and Les* Botting. Loved Aunt of all her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all the medical staff who have been involved in Barbara’s care. A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, Corner Esk and Doon Streets Invercargill on Friday October 4 at 1.00pm. Interment at the Fortrose Cemetery to follow.
