Messages

To Lesley and Ian’s family.
Jill and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to you all, as the Taylor’s of Lora Gorge and the Robertson’s had a long history, I remember well Ian’s father working as a casual at the farm while I was at primary school.
Ian and I were in the same year at high school and travelled on the same bus, and I had huge admiration for the way he stood up to the intensive bullying he received from the senior boys.
Two of the organisations i was involved with, Hokonui Young Farmers and the Winton Collie club also benefited from Ian’s commitment and effort, many YFC members will Remember the fantastic bacon and egg pies he brought along to bbq’s (thanks Lesley).
Ian was a good man who had his own way of coping with the challenges life had dealt him and will be missed by those who new him.

Rest in peace
