PHILPOTT, Roy:

Passed away on Thursday 2nd January 2025, aged 86 years.

Loved only son of the late Bert and Nelly. Loved husband of Frances, and much-loved father of Carey, and Brent.

Loving brother of Dale, and uncle of Sam. Respected ol’ fella of extended family, Owen, Stocky, Terry and Sharron, Cheryl and Butch, Mike and Nicole, Steve and Jodi.

Heartfelt thanks to Clare House staff, for the wonderful care and respect shown to Roy.

A service to celebrate Roy’s life will be held on Wednesday 8th January, 2.00pm, in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill.

Our love goes to you, we were only talking about our time living on Drysdale road myross bush with my auntie and uncle and Roy's name came up a number of times, Andrew and Liz Dorricott ( Wisely )

Very sorry to read of Roy’s Passing, in my dealings with him, especially at the races he was always enthusiastic and always smiling, when I last saw him at Myross Bush returning some books he had loaned me from his extensive mostly racing and horses library he was smiling and happy, a memory I will remember of him, please accept our sympathy at this time, sorry we are out of tiown this week.
