HAYS, Kathleen (Kate).

Passed away peacefully on Friday 9 May 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. Kate will be deeply missed by her devoted husband Allan; her children Ralph, Maryanne, Amy, and Peter; her three sisters; her nine cherished grandchildren and all her nieces and nephews.

Forever in our hearts.

The family thanks the teams at Calvary Hospital, Hawthorndale Care Village and Hospice Southland for their compassionate care of Kate.

Please Note New Time: A Requiem Mass to celebrate Kate’s life will be held on Friday, 16 May at 3pm at St Mary’s Basilica, Tyne Street, Invercargill. Burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery, block 53. Refreshments will be served afterwards at the Invercargill Bridge Club, 50 Elles Road. All who knew Kate are warmly invited to join her family.
