To Mervyn, Justine, Cimone, Deanna and families we are very saddened to hear of Barbara’s passing. Our sincere condolences to you all. A lady who always made you feel welcome, always on your doorstep with a tray of sandwiches when she thought you needed them with the right words to say. The mint sauce and pickles were the best. We will catch up with you when we get home. Our memories will live on forever.

Dear Mervyn and family,
Blair and I were in disbelief when we heard of Barbara’s death. I am so sorry for you, the girls and their families.
We started our married lives together in Dunedin with you and Barbara, and had some enjoyable some memorable times, that you, Mervyn, will remember.
I was very fond of my cousin Barbara, though not seeing her often in later life. I was also very appreciative of her kindness and empathy she showed my late mother, Elza, when she was in Riverton retirement home.
Mervyn, you were a great husband to Barbara. We hope to catch up with you over this coming summer, and if you are in Queenstown, we would love you to make contact
with us.
Please convey to the girls and their families my utmost sympathy.
