(In memory of a dear colleague and friend)
She walked with warmth, a gentle grace,
A constant smile upon her face.
With laughter light and spirit wide,
She stood with others, side by side.
A peer in heart, in soul, in voice,
She made a steady, caring choice,
To walk with others, side by side,
With empathy as her true guide.
She answered needs before they grew,
With gentle ways and follow-through.
She gave beyond what duty meant,
With quiet strength and kind intent.
She met each challenge, faced each call,
With steady hands and grace through all.
She led with kindness, firm yet true,
And showed what quiet strength can do.
She held our hearts, she held our trust,
With steady care so fair and just.
Though private in her quiet way,
She always knew just what to say.
With passion bright and quiet grace,
She helped each dream find form and place.
The Wearable Arts, her heart’s delight,
She sparked with passion, bold and bright.
Each year a theme, a brand-new stage,
For young and old, for every age.
A friendly rivalry, full of cheer,
That brought the whole region near.
She brought together hearts and hands,
With crafts and walks and bright new plans.
The garden bloomed from seeds she'd sown,
A space where joy and calm had grown.
A mural danced along the wall,
So bold, expressive, loved by all.
Each stroke a spark, each color true,
A legacy for her in every hue.
Mid-winter feasts with cozy flair,
Matariki stars in the air.
Christmas joy and royal high tea,
She made each moment a memory.
A Christmas smile, a birthday crown,
She lifted spirits all around.
A cuppa shared, a chair, a chat,
She gave her time, just like that.
Her passing came without a sign,
A quiet shift in life’s design.
And still we pause, in deep dismay,
To lose her in this unforeseen way.
Though sudden was her parting day,
Her light has not been swept away.
She walks beside us, calm and kind,
In every heart she leaves behind.
We miss her more than words can say,
Her warmth still lights our every day.
In all she gave, in all she shared,
A soul so rare, so deeply cared.
We take a moment, soft and still,
To honour strength, compassion, will.
Though she is gone, her light will stay,
In all we do, day after day.
RIP Rachael, I will miss you.
Rach, you had a heart that felt so deeply, a soul that cared endlessly, and a kindness that wrapped around people like a warm embrace. Whether it was a gentle word, a listening ear, a hug and your beaming smile, always made my day a little better. Rach you always showed up for others in ways that truly mattered.
You loved without conditions, gave without expecting anything in return, and lived with compassion at the center of everything you did. The world feels a little dimmer without your presence, but your legacy of love and care will never fade.
Rest peacefully and rest with love, my dear friend and work mate. You are deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
So much love to all Rachael's family
If mankind was more like Rachael, there would be
No more bullying
No more greed
There would be
No more hunger
No more wars
There would be no
More militarys
there is no need
If mankind was like Rachael
There would be
Peace on earth
Laughter and kindness
Hearts full of love
People happy all the time
But Rachael isn't like mankind she is so much more extraordinary, like a gifted angel we have all been so lucky to meet along her way
It is obvious the lord is struggling in this world we live he has called upon one
of his most gifted angels
to help him fix bigger needs
Craig. (Cardie)
Rest in peace Rachel. Say g’day to Sam and Jesse for us.
It's been a pleasure Rachel Roberts x.
It’s hard to put into words the impact that Rach had on so many people, I was very fortunate to cross paths with Rach when we both worked at able.minds She was the kind of person who was incredibly kind, giving, and deeply empathetic, she had a gift for making every person feel seen, heard, and truly valued.
She was a fierce advocate for those in need, always seeking out the gaps and quietly, consistently, filling them. If there was something she could do to help, she would do it with no hesitation. She brought solutions, comfort, and connection wherever she went.
Her presence was a light. She touched countless lives, not just through her actions but through the way she made people feel respected, important, cared for and most importantly never alone.
We’ve lost a remarkable soul, her legacy will live through each and every person who’s lives she had touched.
Rest peacefully, Rach You will never be forgotten.
