MCKAY, Joan (nee Cowley).
Passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday 10 August 2025 at Hospice Southland, aged 95 years. Beloved wife of George*. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Elizabeth and Craig Stoneman, David and Wendy, and Robert. Cherished grandmother of Sarah and Angus Morrison, Lucy and Ioane Leti, Claire Stoneman and Matt Burgess; Karlee and Damien Bath, Matthew and Glenda; Raven, Conor, and Amy. Loved great-grandmother of William, Abigail, Hamish, Elsie; Byron, and Harper; Ava and Liam; Lola, and Chase; Harrison; Sophia, and Iyla. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Russell*, Roger* and Hazel. A service to celebrate Joan's life will be held in First Presbyterian Church, 155 Tay Street, Invercargill on Friday 15 August at 11am followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Southland would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
