Sorry Paula to read of Eddie's passing.
He certainly was a battler to the end.
He will be sorely missed.

Sorry Edwin has passed, he was one of the more levelheaded ones in our group. Had access to his mother’s car a morris minor which was vital at times and had started his apprenticeship with the Ford dealership in Invercargill which again made him popular for those who needed repairs to vehicles. A nice day would see us at the back beach providing the tide was right getting pāua but once he had the licence it took us further afield..
We all drifted apart later on to various parts of the country with work marriage families etc but I did make an effort to see him in the home where he spent much time. I’m pleased he was in my life all be it short and will always remember him kindly. Regards Laurence Bevin
