Our sincerest sympathy to you all at this time as you say your farewells to Allan. We are thinking of you.
Lindsay & Liz McKenzie, Richmond
Sincere condolences to Allan's family, especially to Rachael and Keith who I worked with many years ago..
I met Allan when he was here at my rest home on respite care.
We had many good yarns together about our lives and backgrounds.
Rest in peace Allan

Allan remembered from childhood days in Invercargill: Dee Street, Yarrow Street, and Middle School, and later while he was an apprentice, at, I think, Gormack Wilkes Davidson. Allan was always a fine guy and did well in life. In those early days he loved aircraft, and I recall getting into trouble from a Middle School teacher, a World War 2 veteran called Alan Duncan, over an air-war comic I cadged from Alan. Condolences to Allan's family, and to his siblings Donald, David, and Jean,.
Neill Birss, Christchurh

Sending condolences and sympathy. Allan and I worked at GWDs. He was one of the few A grade mechanics when I started as an apprentice, I learned a lot from him. I remember him being a very good soccer player. He was a great guy to work with, there were many hijinx among our crew - Brian Pope our foreman, Jordy Duncan, Brian Clode, Ross Munro, Graham Pedler, and many others.
Alan McIvor, Invercargill
Allan was a gentle giant, who always had time for people, even if you had just met them. He was so good to my father, right up to the last, and I know he appreciate that. May you rest in peace Allan, and dont worry I'll keep that Jax and Darren in check.
