I will treasure my times spent with Helen over the years , especially in Arrowtown.
The wonderful walks we had , the awesome swims in lake Hayes, the movie sessions at Dorothy Browns cinema and the many long chats we shared about family and life in general. Ian had many great bowling sessions with Helen and had great fun sharing his bowling expertise with her.
She was a true friend , had a heart of gold and was one of life’s wee gems.
May your memories keep her close in your heart.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Helen’s death. We met Helen and Ron when I employed Helen as the Queenstown coordinator for Access Homehealth. She was excellent at her job and a pleasure to work with. We formed a great friendship which remained when we moved to live in Arrowtown. Helen traveled with us to Vietnam in 2009 and always remained friends with our son Paul who was our tour guide.
Our love goes to Helen’s lovely daughters who have cared so well for her. We will miss her

What a beautiful and fitting farewell to Helen I've just been grateful to watch. I came to know Helen and Ron as a neighbour to Lynne and Warren 30 years ago in Auckland. Ron and Helen became my friends too and I loved the many interactions we had over the years in Larchwood and Faulder Avenues and at Peel St. Helen was always a calm, steady presence, a rock for the family. She coped with such dignity after the sudden loss of dear Ron. .In later years I loved seeing her when she came to Auckland en route to Buckletons Beach with the famliy.
We had such fun in Arrowtown in 2011 too! When Helen heard I was bringing tourists through one summer, she suggested i bring them to the bowling club and it was a brilliant idea. Many Americans tried their hand at bowls in late summer afternoons, enjoying chatting to real New Zealanders over a beer afterwards. It was a special part of their trip and all thanks to Helen.
I salute the care shown to Helen by family members in later years: she knew she was loved and valued and it was wonderful that she was in her own home until the end. .
