Louise, Te Anau
Margaret was a much loved neighbour to our family in Te Anau for many years and her help and friendship will never be forgotten by us. In the years we owned the holiday house at 42 Bligh Street Margaret went above and beyond " being a helpful neighbour" . I always got in touch to let her know we were coming and in the colder weather the heating had always been turned on so that we didn't arrive to a cold house. We enjoyed many cups of tea with her and Russell and then with Harry - often tasting one of her new recipes as she was such a great baker ! I send to you all my very deepest sympathy - I know she will be missed so much by you all but you have the treasured memories of a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.

I apologise that I am unable to attend Margaret’s service. I first met Margaret years ago at the Te Anau medical centre but more recently I have had the pleasure of belonging to FRENZ FIORDLAND of which Margaret has been a long standing member. It was always lovely if I sat at the same table as Margaret. She always greeted folks she knew so graciously and was always interested in their happenings. This year as president of FRENZ I have welcomed Margaret to meetings and at our Xmas lunch meeting on the 4th December i was honoured to welcome this lovely lady and to wish her a happy birthday.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Margaret. She was so lovely, always encouraging and interested in life's goings on. I will miss not hearing your beautiful canaries sing and admiring your lovely garden when walking up to your door.
Margaret was a wonderful companion and caregiver to my dog Oska. They enjoyed each others company very much. My love and condolences to the family on this sad occasion.

Rest in Peace dear Margaret. I well remember the many years we worked together at the Fiordland Health Centre and how much you enjoyed your work. You were always interested in everyone, loved to know 'what was happening' and participated in so much in the Te Anau community. You would have wanted to leave this world in just the manner you did, especially after reaching your goal of 90. Rest in Peace lovely lady. Lots of love

I have come to know Margaret in more recent years. Having lunch after church most Sunday's. I visited her on occasion.
She loved the wee dogs that she looked after. Such a lovely kind lady who always had time for a few words.
She was such an integral part of our community and will be greatly missed.
Lois, Te Anau
