Aad passed away unexpectedly at Longwood Care Home in Riverton, 15 days short of his 95th Birthday.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Anne. Loving Dad to Helen*, Rita and Warwick Kent. Dearly loved Poppa of Johanna and Shane (UK), Maria and Joel (Dunedin) Stuart and Kaya. Special Poppa to his great-grandchildren, Imogen, Addison, Lachlan, and Keelan.

A celebration of Aad’s life will be held on Friday January 2026 at 1.00pm at the Riverton RSA, Palmerston Street, Riverton. All welcome to come along to say 'goodbye' to a gentleman of the town who many would have seen walking, cap on, camera in hand.

I will never forget the evening I spent with you when judging a 3 way camera club competition in Te Awamutu. Anne and you hosted me, we watched a Rugby test Charlie Cole ( from Pirongia ) watched too, then he went home. Thanks so much for the hospitality Anne, and deepest condolences on Aards passing.
