It is with sadness that I post a message to the Pinkney Family and extended family.
I grew up as a child listening to the stories of my father and mother around Pinkneys shop.
I was born in Bowmont St and lived there until 1962. My family moved to Winton and would visit the shop after that.
Just a few years ago I lived in a home at the end of Rodney St and Nelson St.
It brought back wonderful memories family stories and memories of the Pinkneys, Keelties, Nicolsons and Johnson’s.
Recently we had out the old reel movies of Dads and watched the comedy of many of those children playing in the yard of 242 Bowmont St.
On behalf of John and Dorothy Warren and their children I would like to extend my condolences on the loss of Marion.
Lynley Warren , Winton Southland
