Quinn, James Joseph (Jimmy) 06/12/1952 - 29/04/2026

Much loved husband of Cathy. Adored father of Sheree, Kelly and Kurt. Cherished grandfather of Mika, Caleb, Lila, Finn and Ronan.

Son of Molly and James and loved brother to his siblings.

Jimmy reluctantly departed, surrounded by his girls.

"You were stronger than we knew. You fought hard, and we are so proud of you."

We are deeply grateful to the teams at Dunedin ICU and Ward 7A for the extraordinary care they gave our James.

A service to celebrate the life and times of Jimmy will be held at 2.00pm Monday 4th of May 2026 at J Fraser and Son's Chapel, corner of Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, followed by a private cremation.

Dear Cathy and Family,
Please accept our extended sympathy to you with the passing loss of your Jimmy.
Cathy, you and Jimmy connected with the Harington Point neighbourhood and very firm friendships have been made during the short few years you have lived in Harington Point.
So lovely that you have had the wonderful sincere care of Daveen and Tony and Lynette especially, wrapping around you, along with the other community neighbours.
Sorry we can not be at Jimmys farewell.
Sail free Jimmy.
Linda and Clark McLean, Harington Point Dunedin
Cathy and family, Debbie and I would like to pass on our most sincere condolences to you all at this very sad time. I well remember all the great conversations I had with Jimmy at each haircut. Jimmy would always listen even if he didn’t agree and then give his opinion which was always worth listening to. Winton lost an awful lot when our barber left town. Rest well my friend.
