AUSTIN, Alice Rebecca, (nee Millar):

Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on Thursday 28th May 2026. Aged 86 years.

Devoted loving wife of Leo for 67 years.

Treasured Mum and mother in-law of Shirley and the late Mark Keen, Nicol and Sue, Malcolm and Nancy.

Cherished Grandma of Tim, Chris, and Bradley (Clarke); Braydn, Jono, Blake and Emma, Emma and John Jamieson, and Meg; Hannah and Adam Hawkins, Destiny, Paul and Lauren, Tommy. Dearly loved Great grandmother of Jay, Louie, Millie, Rosie, Arthur, Alice, Lilah Rayden, Charlie, Cameron, Nation, Luna, Casey, and Xavier.

A loved sister and sister in-law. Dearly loved Aunt of all her nieces and nephews, and a great friend to many.

A service to celebrate Alice’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons Chapel, cnr Esk & Doon Streets, Invercargill, on Wednesday 3rd June, at 1.00pm.

Dear Alice… I am so sad and deeply sorry to learn of her passing… but now she will be rejoicing with my Mum in Heaven. 💖
