To Nola's family
I was so sad when I read that Nola had passed away. I had fond memories of her on school camps and school things. She had a wonderful sense of humor. I remember telling her I had been working for Russell and Alan Baird at Dacre and they said she had babysat them when they were young. Well her glasses came half way down her nose and she looked over the top and said definitely not, she's not that old, 😅 she was the neatest person, RIP Nola

Nola was a truly beautiful soul, and it was a privilege to care for her. I genuinely enjoyed the time I spent with her and will remember her fondly. She would often hold my arm as we walked together, and I can still recall the lovely scent of her hand cream.

She was a gentle, kind-hearted woman, and whenever she spoke about her family, it was clear how deeply she loved each of you. Her warmth and affection for her family always shone through.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Nola will definitely be missed.

Aunty Nola, It is hard to think what to write as you gave so much to me and my family. Thank you for the memories from the Farm to Riverton to the Blue Cod fishing (that didn't go so well) and for teaching me to not "shovel my peas" and to use the back of my fork. Most of all thank's for being my Aunty, you set great standards for yourself and others but most importantly you knew how to have a laugh, its probably what I will miss the most. May you Rest In Peace, Deon, Leah, David and Jayme

To the best sister ever. Thank you for your endless kindness, time and love you have given me my entire life. I will miss you more than you will ever know. Forever in my heart "Sisters by chance" "Friends by choice" Lots of love Nola from Bette.

Nola, you were always somewhat of an enigma to me. A mysterious spinster. I remember feeling slightly anxious going to stay with you in Ivy street for the first time; mostly intrigued, but also intimidated. An old teacher always struck me as someone grumpy, someone scary, and you were anything but. We had fun, we had laughs. You let Katie and I play teachers with your typewriter and dress up in old glasses and fox stoles. Your loud infectious laughter echoed from the kitchen while you chatted on the phone, sipping a glass of wine. I'll remember you every time I teach my children the alphabet. Your energy lives on in the way of colourful caterpillars, children (and adults alike) playing dress ups, an old school chalkboard, in typewriters and in heartfelt cackles. Thank you for sharing your wit and always having space in your heart for all of your extended family.
