BROWN Muriel De Luen (nee Mathieson)
Muriel passed away on Tuesday 7th July 2026, aged 98 years.
She was the devoted wife of the late Les Brown for 60yrs.
A cherished mother and mother-in-law to Lois, Carolyn and Barry, Shona, and the late Lynda.
A much-loved Grandmother of Anika and Megan, the late MaryEllen, Johnny and Shane, the late Isobel, Jessica, Justin and Nathan, Laura, Jenna and Daniel.
A loving Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother to many.
Loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Ian and Ruth, the late George, and Ewen and Irene.
A much-loved Aunty of all her nephews and nieces.
Muriel was also a loved sister-in-law of the late Ora and late Dave, the late Phyllis and late Eric, the late Myrtle and Andrew, the late Russell and late Jean, the late Audrey and late Ken, Avis and the late George.
A special friend of Rona, Valmai, the late Faye, and Diane.
Special thanks to St John, staff of the Medical Ward at Kew, the RDNS team, and Dr Sloane for their loving care.
A Service to Celebrate Muriel's life will be held on Friday 17th July, 12.30pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. Interment at Otautau Cemetery will follow.
