HESSON, Valerie Dawn 'Val' (nee Strang).
After a full and active life, surrounded by family, and in the loving care of the Iona staff, Peacehaven, Invercargill, Val passed away peacefully on Friday, 10 July, 2026, aged 91 years. Dearly loved and adored wife of (Maurice) John Hesson for 71 years. Much loved Mum of Robin and Brenda, mother-in-law of Sjoerdtje, Johnny and Alan. Loved Nana of Holly and Greg, Roxy and Wiremu, Edward and Nikcola, Gala and Hahna, her six great-grandchildren, her extended family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, to be advised.
