SHEARER Christine Joy (nee Adamson)

Unexpectedly passed away on Friday 24th July 2026.

Dearly loved wife and soul mate of David.

Adored mum of Ethan and Christabel.

Loved step-mum of Ashley, Heidi and Joshua.

Adored Nana of Chelsea, McKenzie and Vanessa.

Loved sister and sister in law of Campbell and Maria, Shaun, Marie and Mario, Diane, Trevor, Allan and Rewa, and Deborah.

Loved Aunty of her nieces and nephews.

Cherished friend and colleague to all her staff of Habitat ReStore.

A Service for Christine will be held on Friday 31st July 2026, 1.30pm in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill.  Private Cremation will follow.

Christine will always be remembered by us for her kindness and warm presence. We were welcomed into her family with open arms and we are greatful for all of the family birthdays, Christmases, weddings and BBQs we got to share with her. Rest in love Christine. Christine was a gentle person with a kind and loving soul. She would welcome anyone into her presence with humour and kindness. I remember growing up with Christine, Campbell, Shaun and Marie. Their dad had Adamsons Cake Kitchen.
Christine was always super happy and cheerful and had a raspy laugh that was full of fun.

Her hard work and dedication, personable nature with volunteers, and great rapport with many long standing customers has enabled Habitat to deliver our charitable services to hundreds of people across the region. Christine's passing has had a profound impact across our organisation, and her contribution to those in housing need we seek to serve will forever be remembered. Habitat for Humanity Board.

Christine was a true force of nature – so full of life, laughter, and light.
