SKERRETT, Allan Nugent George. Allan is now free to sail his final journey on the high seas. Allan passed away peacefully 10 August 2026 with his loving family by his side, in the care of O’Byrne Wing, Rowena Jackson Resthome. Dearly beloved husband of Karen. Allan is the second oldest child of Nugent (Boy) and Phyllis Skerrett. Loved Dad of Darrin, Tony and Katrina, and Tia. And loving Grandad of Hemi, Billy, Luke, Rubin and Ellie, and Great Grandad to Xavier and Kaizah. Also beloved Step Dad to Geoff and Lisa Henson, and beloved Step Grandad to Josh, Cam, Jay, Jaime and Ella, and Step Great Grandad to Kacey and Maesyn. Loving brother and brother-in-law of Glennys Young* and Kingsley; May and George Skerrett, Ro and David Brand, Terrol Macdonald, Greg Skerrett, Lyn and Russell Smith, Gay and Doug Grant, Jan* and Murray Wards. A loved Uncle to all his nieces and nephews.

                                           A service will be held at J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Thursday 13 August. Private cremation to follow. Allan will be at home 3 Milton Street Riverton, until his farewell. Family and friends are welcome. Messages to 3 Milton Street, Riverton.
