BROWN, Bruce Reginald (Brownie)

Peacefully with his family by his side on 20th August 2026, aged 69.

Brownie decided he had enough and wanted to go have some beers with his old friends.

He will be enormously missed by Jamie, Aleisha, Cameron, and Brittany and Grandchildren Tayne, Kaylee, Ollie, Kyson, Mason, Austin, Moose, and his best mate Bernie.

A service to celebrate and remember the life and times of Brownie will be held 1pm, Thursday 27th August at J Fraser and Son's Chapel, Corner of Esk and Doon Street, Invercargill. Followed by interment at the Eastern Cemetery. (Bring your gumboots as could be very wet!)

Brownie you definitely will be missed. The Neighbourhood watch, making sure we were all safe and looked after. Loved having many years of barbeques, drinkies with you, michelle,bernie and family with lots of yarns and laughs. You will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace till we meet again.

Well Bruce, today's ya big day. Hope your strapped in tight, cause dam the stories are going to flow.
Apologies im unable to farewell you in person, however...
Never met a man like you as passionate about a good drink and Rugby.
We were together short time in the grand scheme of things, but holy heck it was some fun....eventually finding out your true age.
The things that came with you as a partner. Sober driving the boys. Loosing a solid bet with the crusaders. The gatherings we held. Rugby....never again. In one day 4 kids games, your game, the next game, then 2 more at the clubs rooms and the Newfield. That was my limit broken, no I never was going to be a prop!
Never met anyone who was a legitimate allergic to beer, but as you were no quiter you sneezed your way through to the last drop or hour.
You were a fantastic loving father, so many bush walks, your routine was on point.
Remember when I asked to drive the falcon on my own. 3 steps to earning the right to drive it. Think you were slightly unimpressed i managed to drive it in AND out of the garage first pop, I was rather stoaked. Same with chucking me in the digger to have a whirl, loved it
You have certainly left a name to remember. Its a big day indeedy. Rest in peace old fella
