CRAWFORD, Kathleen Russell (Kath):

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Kath (aged 98 years) on Thursday 20th August 2026, surrounded by family at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, Invercargill.

Dearly loved and adored wife of the late Bruce.

Much loved and respected Mum and mother-in-law of Alisdair & Jean, Hamish, Donald & Dianne. Special ‘Kath’ of the late Catherine and the late Angela.

Loved ‘Ma’ of Kathleen, Clint, Deidre, Campbell & Jowie, Janee & Zac, David & Heidi, Rachael & Rory, Andrew & Tracey. Great ‘Ma’ of Kaynen, Logan, Joshua, Fyfe, Monty,Mila, Adaline and Summer, Jack, Charlie, Maeve, the late Frida, Lola & Ollie. Great Great ‘Ma’ of Ava-Rei. Loved daughter of the late Huia & Jessie Shand (Taieri, Otago).

In accordance with Kath’s wishes, a private cremation has been held.

Alisdair, Hamish, & Donald would like to sincerely thank the caregivers at Rowena Jackson for their care and compassion towards Kath during her stay. Thank you also to Nurse Practitioner Dawn Acker from Monarch Health for her outstanding support and care of Kath and the family.

So very sorry to read this. Kath was a great friend of my late mother, Averley Frew ( nee Cheyne ) They had been friends since they were small and enjoyed many adventures and a lot of fun together along with the late Merle McCulloch ( nee Gibson ) Sending luch love to all the family ❤️
