ROSS Pam (nee Muilwyk)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Southland Hospital on Wednesday 2 September, 2026, aged 70 years. 

Dearly beloved wife, best friend and soul mate of Bruce for over fifty years.

Beloved Mum and mother-in-law of Suzanne and Brent Thomson and Amy and Craig Merrilees, and treasured Nana of Sophie and Caitlin Merrilees.

Youngest daughter of Elaine* and Peter* Muilwyk and sister and sister-in-law of Linda* and Russell Hewitson, Marilyn and John Conner, and Arnold and Maria Muilwyk. Loved by all her nieces and nephews and a loved niece and cousin of her Dutch family in The Netherlands.

A service to celebrate Pam’s life will be held at Fraser & Sons Chapel, corner of Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Tuesday 8 September at 1.30pm. A private family cremation will be held following the service.

I have many very fond memories of Pam and Bruce, and a very little Amy and Suzanne running around the tennis courts and down at the Clifton Tennis Club in Avon Road. So many laughs, parties, funny money nights and post game catch-ups at our "2nd" clubrooms the Clifton Club Inn, which always continued well into the night. Dear Ross, Amy and Suzanne,
I am so sorry for to hear the passing of Pam, she was a very special lady, I have amazing memories of when I was young, Pam and you were more like Aunty and Uncle to us kids. The catch ups at each other’s places, BBQ's, The cards and Boardgames and of course the rock and rolling. How could I forget the waterbed so cool! Holiday memories of us coming to Clyde for a visit. I always remember good food and lots of laughter. As a teenager passing Carters, I was always a bit scared as Pam would always spot me, although at the time embarrassing (she was always very honest and gave me stick) but over time I would purposely go past as I love our chats! I last seen Pam at Mum and Dads 70th and she hadn’t changed a bit still the same cheeky lady she has always been. Pam will forever been in my memories.
