Newlands, Gerald Stuart (Ged) of Mossburn. Passed peacefully in the care of Longwood Rest Home on Saturday 12 September 2026, just shy of 82 years old. Dearly loved husband of Jann (Mossburn), Deeply loved and respected Father and Pops of Karl & Lisa (Te Anau), Heidi, Mike & Lola (Kapiti Coast) Maia & Harry (Wellington), Georgia (Nottingham UK).

 

A service to celebrate Ged’s life will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 1pm, on Monday 21 September.

Dear Jann and Family, I'm so sorry to read of Geds passing. You will miss him greatly. I'm sorry I will not be able to make it down for his funeral.
Many fond memories these are precious enjoy remembering for days and years to come.

Jann, Karl and Heidi. Our condolences to you all at this sad time. I have lots of lovely memories of cousin Ged. I carried a photo of him milking a cow on the farm and told my school friends he was my brother - I always wanted an older brother!!
