KING Ian Philip

Sadly Ian left us on Saturday 19th of September 2026.

A cherished husband, soulmate and companion of Glennis. Devoted father and father-in-law of Jason and Vanessa; Sarah; Andrew and Tiana.

Loving granddad of Jess, Michael and Jessie; Lainey, and Krissy. Great poppa of Conroy, Kiarah, Anahera, and Mateo.

Holding a special place in the hearts of Karlee, and Michael John; Arlo, and Ryder; Goldey, Rubious, and Pearl.

A service to celebrate the life and times of Ian will be held at 1pm, Friday 25th September at Windsor Community Church, 19 Windsor Street, Invercargill. Followed by a private family interment. Messages to 199 McIvor Road, RD6 Invercargill. 9876.


KING Ian Philip. Dearly loved son of Eleanor* and Philip* King. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Lloyd and Pam, Peter*; Shona* and Brent Andrews; Joan* and Harold* Dallard; Ron* Sycamore; Graham and Bernie Sycamore. A much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. * Denotes deceased

So sorry to hear of Ian's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences.. We grew up together in the hunting world while members of the Southland Br of New Zealand Deerstalkers Association during the late 1960's and 70's. He was a great mate and we had some wonderful adventures together. RIP Ian, we will be together for more adventures soon.

Tua and I were so sadden to hear of Ian’s passing - we will always remember our cruise together and the laughs we had….. his menu for the buffet was always fish & chips 🥰.

He had such great wisdom of knowledge and we enjoyed listening to his passion for history
