I first ran into Dave 26 years ago in Cromwell. He was a friendly chap then and always was over the following years. I'm a bit stunned by his passing as the last time I saw him he was riding with us, the Ranui Road Knights, and seemed to be in good health and spirits. Rest in Peace Dave. You were one of life's Good Buggers and you will be missed. Sadly I can't make the funeral but I'll raise a glass to Dave on the day..

My deepest sympathies to Brooke, Duncan and Families. I always enjoyed Dave's company, particularly his sharp wit and great love of motorcycles which we shared through our membership of the Chatto Creek Motorcycle Club. We also shared an ongoing interest in what was happening in Winton and its surrounds. It just won't be the same without him around, and I will miss him greatly.

Sad to see you go Dave. I'm going to miss dropping in when I go past and see the garage door open to chat about bikes, politics and anything else. Last time we talked about a week ago, you were angry about not being able to ride, so RIP.
