HEADS, Valerie “Val” Margaret Louise, (nee Forbes):

Of Kamahi, Edendale.

Passed away peacefully at home on the farm, surrounded by family on the 11th October 2026. In her 91st year.

Beloved wife of the late Colin Mitchell Heads.

Dearly loved mother of Judy, Colin, Nicola, and the late Rosemary.

Cherished Grandmother to Oscar, Lockie, Bruno, Jesse, and Danielle.

“An anchor of the family, she will be sorely missed”

In accordance with Val’s wishes a private service has been held.

Judy, Colin, and Nick and families, I am so sorry to have read about Val this morning. My condolences and lots of big hugs go out to you at this very sad time…. Val was an amazing Lady and will be sadly missed by all whom have had the privilege to know her……

Hi Colin and Judy, so sorry to hear of your mothers death, it doesnt seem long ago we were shearing there and going in for lunches. I often talk about those days when going past to invercargill, they were very special days. You will have special memories of those days with your mother, regards jimmy allison
