Allan, Douglas Haig Stuart. On Monday July 13, 2020. Surrounded by his loving family at Southland Hospital. Aged 84 years. Adored and much loved Father and Father in law of Jane & Warren Livingstone and  Vicky & Mike Batchelor. Treasured Grandad of Bradley & Becky, Rhys, Rhyarna, Baylee and Jesse. Loved Great Grandad of Mason and Peanut due in September. A service to celebrate Doug’s life will be held at the Riverton RSA, at 11 am, on Saturday July 18, 2020. A private cremation will follow. Messages to 52 Purdue St Invercargill.

Hi Vicky and Jane and families. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss, i first met Doug at Stewart Island in the mid 60s so have known him for a long time, ,he well liked and respected. Unfortunately i will be unable to attend the service today, due to health problem, once again deepest sympathy.

Doug fished with me in the late 6o's/early 7o's here on Stewart Island.We are very sad to hear of his passing away.

I had a lot to do with Doug over the years through the Riverton RSA. He was a lovely man very well liked and respected. We will all miss him. My condolences to his family.
