Dear Peter and family.
Jill and I would like to extend our condolences to you all at this time. Alex was a truly remarkable man who had led such a full life, who it was indeed an honour to know and to call a friend.

A friend he certainly was to my parents, from the time they were neighbours at Loop Road and right up until the time of Dorothy's death in December, Alex was a regular visitor and confidant. I and my family appreciated Alex calling into see our mother on such a regular basis, and we know the pleasure she got out of those visits.

While I do have memories of McBurney's Menswear, one of my most enduring memories of Alex is watching him wind surf in the 80's and thinking gosh I would like to be doing that when I'm his age, only to have to admit that even though I did try, Ive never been able to wind surf like Alex was as a 60 plus year old at any age.
Our thoughts are with you all at this time.
